We are re-inventing how small businesses handle their accounting. In the old days the accountant came to your office and made adjustments to your ledgers. We now transfer your records electronically over the Internet, make the adjustments, and transfer them back to you.
We recommend QuickBooks. We can convert all versions of QuickBooks and Quicken to the current version of QuickBooks. The program is inexpensive, typical street price of $100 to upgrade and $200 for a new. We do not sell the program and the best prices are at "big box stores" or online.
We can also help you over the telephone with your records on your computer. As we are very experienced with the program and as CPA's are recognized professionals in accounting, we know the answers. If we can not walk you through the problem you can send the file via the Internet and we will correct the problem and return it to you. We can help you understand your Chart of Accounts, how to print needed reports and other things you need.
What we have you do is write the checks and enter the deposits. You handle your own receivables and use QuickBooks to send out the invoices and print statements to help you collect from your customers. QuickBooks is an accounts payable system. This means you input the bills when they are received assign a due date and then write a check only when the bill is due. QB keeps tract of when and how much is due, allowing better control of your cash flow.
The Internet and inexpensive accounting programs have given us the ability to work one on one with clients without driving to the client’s site. We believe toll-free phones and the Internet will revolutionize tax preparation and accounting because distances no longer affect how close we are.
Once a month we have you send your QB file and we take your entries and convert them into full double entry books. We check the account balances to the bank, balance the payroll liabilities and make all those hard to understand closing entries.
We provide CPA opined statements that are fully accepted as a professional report. Accounting services and bookkeepers cannot issue financial statements. By sending us the data we also provide a remote back service so if you have a real computer disaster we can send you the data from our backups. We keep three copies of you data on three separate drives on two separate machines to protect your records.
And we can do it over the Internet at a reasonable fee ranging from $100 per month and up depending on the amount of work you need done. We include all payroll costs in our accounting fees. After we make the year-end closing entries the tax return for you business is nearly done. Having good data throughout the year allows better tax planning to reduce taxes. And we would love to do your income tax returns.
